One of the Firm's founding members, Philip E. Daugherty, was a personal friend of U.S. Senator Mike Monroney and was instrumental in the establishment of the Mike Monroney Federal Aviation Administration Center located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Mr. Daugherty, a pilot himself, was eager to help other pilots and corporate clients with their aircraft transactions when the FAA Registry opened in 1960.
