Robert M. Peregrin

It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our dear friend and colleague, Bob Peregrin, on January 10, 2020.

Robert M. Peregrin was a founding member and shareholder of Daugherty, Fowler, Peregrin, Haught & Jenson, P.C.  He assisted clients as special Federal Aviation Administration and International Registry counsel in structuring and closing worldwide transactions involving the sale, registration, leasing and financing of private, corporate and commercial aircraft to achieve perfection and priority at the FAA and on the IR.

Bob frequently spoke at seminars and professional conferences on topics pertaining to aircraft registration, liens, financing and leasing issues involving the FAA and registrations at the IR pursuant to the Cape Town Convention.  Bob’s expertise earned him recognition by The International Who’s Who of Aviation Lawyers and The Best Lawyers in America for equipment finance law.  Bob served on the International Registry Advisory Board and the Legal Advisory Panel for the International Registry. 

His professional memberships included the American Bar Association, the ABA’s Business Law Section and Forum Committee on Air and Space Law, the National Business Aviation Association, and the Association of Aircraft Title Lawyers.  Bob was admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.  Bob earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1982, following his undergraduate education at the University of Central Oklahoma. 

Bob was a fourth degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and enjoyed martial arts, competitive shooting sports and riding his motorcycle.  He and his wife, Donna, were active at their church and with the Boys Ranch Town in Edmond, Oklahoma.
